Italian powerhouses Juventus and AC Milan ramp up their preparations for the new season on Thursday when they face off in California, both teams looking to improve on a difficult 2022–23 campaign.

A viral illness that affected several of Barcelona's team forced the cancellation of Juve's match against Barcelona on Saturday. However, Milan was back in play on Sunday at the Rose Bowl against Real Madrid.

On August 21, Milan will go to Bologna to begin the new league season, but after thrashing Lumezzane 7-0, their first significant test of the preseason ended in a loss.
