Here's how to boost your OVR:

Play games, not simulate - you only earn progress and XP by actually playing.

Complete in-game objectives, like hitting extra-base hits, drawing walks, or MLB The Show 25 Stubs striking out batters.

Earn Tokens from XP milestones.

Spend Tokens on your attributes via Tools from the Road to the Show main menu.

You can continue to shape your Ballplayer by putting Tokens into general categories (like Power) or micro-managing specific stats (like Arm Accuracy or Baserunning).

Unlock and Upgrade Perks

As you progress, you'll unlock Perks, which are special skills that offer boosts in key moments, such as increasing contact in two-strike situations or giving a clutch rating boost in late innings.

Each Perk includes a skill tree with multiple tiers.

Use Tokens to upgrade the Perk.

Make choices to customize how and when Perks activate during games.

Equip Gear to Get Performance Boosts

While not directly affecting your OVR rating, Equipment adds stat boosts to your Ballplayer.

To Equip Gear:

Go to Ballplayer >Equipment in the RTTS menu.

To buy MLB The Show 25 Stubs to add gear like bats, cleats, batting gloves, etc.

Equipment is tiered (Common to Diamond), with buy MLB The Show 25 Stubs Diamond gear giving the highest stat boosts.
